So, we bought a basic treadmill on purpose. We didn't want a lot of features and buttons and ... I put the treadmill together and I am extremely handy and this unit barely fit together at the base. Most people would have given up it was so tight. Once everything was assembled and sitting where we want to use it, I visually inspected it. The main upright has a huge dent in it from shipping. It isn't going to cause issues, so no way am I putting this back in the box to get a new one, I will live with the dent. Now the fun part, I am also the tech guy in our family. Everyone comes to me for tech help. I can't figure out how to get this basic machine to start. I have had 3 new treadmills in the past and so I know how they work. I read the user's manual and it gives me two options for getting the treadmill to start, but there is a 3rd, I have to activate my machine with iFit. Seriously it is $15/month to get my treadmill to start. I was furious. I looked online and finally found a way, if you hold down the bluetooth button for 15-20 seconds the machine will activate and let you use it. But Weslo wants you to first get so frustrated that you either subscribe to iFit or return the machine and never ever ever ever buy another Weslo machine again. When this machine breaks, I will never ever buy a Welso and I will never buy a machine that requires activation for me to use MY property/machine that I paid for.
