So normally I don't get overly excited when purchasing a new steamer basket, but this one somehow felt different. It had a green plastic handle and that somehow implied a connection with mother earth. Well, to my dismay, per the instructions, some assembly was required. And this is when I fell off the horse. Not only upon opening the box did I discover that no assembly was required, I also found out that all of the parts and tools were included for some assembly should it be required. So yes, there were additional screws packaged neatly in their own plastic bag (and per the instructions, not only were the requisite 3 screws included, but additional ones might be included as well, as a 'bonus'). On top of that came a screw driver, what a surprise for all indeed! Yet something was amiss... the unit was already fully assembled yet there was all of the items required to fully assemble it. Was I to disassemble then reassemble with the included screws (plus potential bonus screws)? The instructions were not clear on this and one would be unwise to stray from unclear instructions, heard from a friend. Oh, but wait, there's more. The aforementioned screw driver? Yes, you have that right, it was a flathead. As for the screw? My good friend, Phillip head. At this point in the tale, I'm a bit lost. No drugs were involved in the creation of this review nor were any animal harmed. And if anyone needs at least 3 screws, plus a potential bonus screw, as well as a flat head screw driver, feel free to reach out. As for the steaming capability of this fine looking yet very confounding instrument of comestible altering, that will come at a later date. Prey for whirled peas...
