So, we bought this unit to live in our bedroom on the third floor of our home. The room already has central AC but because we are on the third floor, the heat in the room outmatches the central AC. We were optimistic with this portable AC but after running it for two nights, we realize that it was a mere fan vs a real AC. It blows cool air but nothing like an AC. It's a very powerful fan at best. - Additionally, the hose and the hose attachment is crap. Each time we touch it, it literally falls apart. - The unit is not quite but it's not noisy. It blows so it must generate some noise to do so but it's tolerable. - The irritating LED - Why in the **** would they put a bright, glowing LED on the front of the unit? It illuminates the entire room in the dark. That was downright stupid. The LED stays on as long as the unit is running and the more it blows, the brighter the LED gets. Senseless! The LED should only illuminate when engaged. - Exhaust cover - the exhaust that pushes moisture and hot air from the room out of the window does not have a cover which means, small birds and potentially squirrels can attempt to enter and nest within it. Senseless! - Wheel Locks - great that the unit is portable but it moves all the time if you simply touch it. It would be nice to have been able to lock the wheels in place so it doesn't move. This too keeps anyone from placing the unit in a table of you wanted it raised from the floor because it would be unstable and would likely fall if touched. We are very disappointed! I would not recommend this AC unit. The only reason I'm considering keeping it is because of the hassle of reboxing and paying for shipment. We will see.
