Litrpg elements are well done once it gets moving but nothing original. However, preachy is an understatement for roughly 15% of the book. I bought the book to unwind with fantasy entertainment, not read the author "debate" himself on socioeconomic dogmas and those stupid faithful..which I'm atheist myself. Couldn't make it past 75% when yet another soap box moment started. If you like progressive echo chambers, this is the book for you. I'm all for healthy debate, but it all comes off as smug and masturbatory when you're writing both ends...in a fiction fantasy book. Edit: Love how amazon shoves helpful reviews to the bottom.
