This product could make you pregnant or sick :/
Okay....my problem with this product is the lack of warning labels. It does say to consult your doctor, but there are two kind of biggies here. There are three big causes of hair loss in the 18-44 age group they target-autoimmune hair loss (lupus and alopecia), post-pregnancy, and stress (physical stress to the hair or emotional stress). This product contains Ashwaganda. Ashwaganda is great for pumping up your immune system. That ISN'T great if you have hair loss caused by autoimmune causes like lupus or alopecia - ashwaganda can trigger flares in autoimmune diseases and should be avoided. This product can actually make autoimmune hair loss worse. :/ Secondly, pregnancy hair loss. This product has saw palmetto. Saw palmetto has side effects like a risk of increased bleeding. Saw palmetto can reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills, can pass through the breast milk (and should not be taken by nursing mothers) and should not be taken while pregnant (kind of an extra whammy - it's more likely to make you mistakenly pregnant and you shouldn't take if you are). Saw palmetto is generally taken to help with frequent urination from an enlarged prostate. Their target audience are quite likely women on hormonal birth control, why put something in the product NOT linked to hair growth but IS linked to crap, I got knocked up? I get that hormonal birth control can cause some hair loss, but unknowingly taking people off of it isn't the answer. The "hair growth" benefits come from the L-Cysteine, L-Lysine, keratin, collagen, and biotin. It would have been nice if they had stuck with that instead of trying to fill up more of the panel of their bottle with stuff.
