I figured out why I was only getting sound from the left speaker. It's a faulty design in the "remote." Where you plug in the headset there's a metal contact that is suppose to connect the circuit. Since I used the headset jack extensively the contact got worn and broke off. I fixed it by folding a paperclip and pushing it in the headset jack hole. This connects the circuit and allows the signal to reach the right speaker. I've posted a picture of this as well.
