E-commerce packaging seems to be code for "used" or "refurbished", and it didn't work out in this case
This E-commerce packaging seems to be code for "open box" or "used and returned." I got one and noticed the edge of the camera was ever so lightly dented, like someone had dropped it. Also, the battery door actually came off in my hand. Worst of all was that about every 4th time I'd turn it on, I'd get a "card read error" message. This was on a brand new, high speed, newly formatted SD card. I had already updated the firmware on the camera. Eventually I sent the thing back and bought the slightly higher priced standard packaged model, and have had no problems thus far. So while I like the GoPro Hero5 Black, this E-commerce packaging is a scam, and I'm surprised Amazon allows it without full disclosure.
