I was really excited to get this as a Christmas present. I have considerable experience with electronics DIY and installed the system without any issues. The installation itself was simple and without issue. The underlying issue with Simplisafe is their atrocious customer support. My system (I paid for monitoring and interactive control) will not connect to the cell system. I've tried about 15 times, doing various resets suggested in their online forums, with no success. I got precisely ONE email with suggestions on how to proceed but I had already tried this solution several times. I have spent literally HOURS on the phone without being able to reach a human. I give up. This may or may not be a good system, and their brand new one may or may not be good, but their customer service is non-existent. I'm not sure why Amazon continues to market this. Its going back.
