They have one of these at my child’s daycare. Works great, she likes it, so I go buy one...and now it’s borderline useless because the new versions have the buckle! It is very difficult to get the child in with those buckles. You really need three hands. Part of what makes the seat work is it’s rigid foam that is tight against the child’s legs...so you pull the side straps out ahead of time, then slide the kid in, but it’s a tight fit by design so the straps slide under the kid! And you can’t get your hands in there to pull out straps! So if you want to buckle (which you don’t, because the straps are unnecessary), you can’t. And yet you can’t leave straps because there are big thick buckles under the baby and she hates it! Don’t even get me started on the front buckle, how it’s not even long enough to pull out, so there is no way to put baby in PERIOD without two hands setting down baby and a third hand to hold that strap up. Ditch the strips, Bumbo, or make them removable!!!
