I purchased this matress because my old one was developing dips in it. I figured before I'd spend a lot of money on a new store bought mattress, that I should try the's box mattresses, they had high reviews and Zinus advertises a 100 day warranty. I woke up sore on day 1, figuring I might need to adapt to a new mattress I stuck it out a couple weeks. Still had back pain, and this mattress gets hot! So I bought a cooling mattress topper... it was comfy, but still no dice. After 45 days I figured I did my best and contacted Zinus for a return. They informed me that since I bought it through amazon that the 100 day warrange does not apply and I'd have to go through amazon returns. Amazon has a 30 day return policy and thankfully for me once I explained the situation and that I tried to make things work with the mattress within the 100 day window, amazon said they'd take the mattress back, though I have to pay a $60 restocking fee. I contacted Zinus and explained that amazon is going to take the mattress at a cost to me, that I wish they'd be more clear with their 100 day trial advertisement/paper work they put in the packaging...and I'd like to be compensated the restocking fee. They told me they could only replace the mattress if I could prove it was defective. I asked how that works...they told me to lay a broomstick across and look for dips. Sure enough... the mattress (just 45 days old, and 25 days with a 2" foam topper) had two separate dips spanning almost 2' wide (where me and my spouse lay) and were 1" deep. I asked them to review my claim just to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe I had a defective mattress. Zinus replied today stating the mattrrss is not defective unless it has a dip of about 1.5". Bottom line, I highly caution everyone against purchasing this mattress. If not for amazon bending their own rules, I'd be out $400. Reading other reviews I have seen others that have experienced this. Go with a different company.
