Ok so this was a hard one for me to rate. I totally agree with all of the reviews on here. If you follow directions and do everything it says to do... Your counter will look great! However, the minute you set something down or drag something across the counter... The paint comes off! Pretty much just using the counter will ruin the paint job. I found the application to be very very easy. I just rolled it on twice and it was done. I used a paint brush to cut the corners and then used a sponge roll brush. Easy. After reading reviews and researching online I found the trick to the countertop coating working is applying polyurethane coating. I used oil based gloss fast drying. And you must apply layer after layer after layer. Don't skimp! I applied my first layer two days after the counter top paint fell dry. Counter paint was a little sticky still buy from my understating, it stays that way. I applied the poly with a sponge roller and seriously pourrrrred it on my counter. Then used a brush to get the bubbles out and make it look nice and even. It dries overnight. Applied another layer in the morning. And another layer at night. And maybe even one more after that. After another day my counter was ready to use. The counter looks great and is solid!!!!!! Poly is the trick. But I think you could pretty much redo your counter tops with any latex paint and have the same results of you use 4 to 5 layers of poly on top like I did. Would I use this again? No. I would totally make Chalk paint ( you can google the instructions on how to make it) and paint that into my counter and then poly that. I have used chalkboard paint on other surfaces and it's the best. It looks amazing and it lasts forever. All in all, this paint is ok. But it takes time and research to work out its quirks.
