UPDATE --- Sorry life has been hectic the past few years. Just noticed all of these replies to my comment. It seems many folks thought I was making this story up. Someone asked for pics. Well, here you go. I even added a video. I did reach out to get a refund back in 2012, but never got anywhere with the company. I still urge anyone looking to buy one of these to use extreme caution. Maybe they updated things since then. I'm unaware. But this is what happened to mine and it was very scary. Just glad it happened while I was at home and could shut it off. OLD REVIEW---Had bought 4 of these back in 2006. They seemed to work very well and I told lots of folks these were awesome. I sang there praise for years. Last night we turned ours on for the first time this year and fell asleep. My wife miraculously woke up at 4:25 am and looked at the wall and screamed. I instantly woke up and looked and our wall heater was on fire!!! There was about a 3 inch flame making its way up the heater from the plastic cover and eventually would have been on to our wall. I put out the flame and took a bunch of pics and videos. I noticed it was obviously burning on the front but the back side closest to our wall was also beginning to burn. I immediately took the heater off the wall and outside. Scary thing is we have two more of these in our kids rooms! Just glad it was ours that caught fire first. Do not buy these until the company addresses these issues!! There should be a recall on at least our model. Very scary!! I will be I contacting this company ASAP.
