This should be called Rock's AND Salt rather than Rock Salt. I took a few table spoons out of my Salt Grinder and dissolved them under my instant hot tap, then I let it soak in a bowl for a few minutes. What was left was surprising, ROCKS! Since I am past my return period I decided to boil down the whole 5 lb bag. I did two boils since the first got very saturated and may have slowed the salt from dissolving. I rinsed a couple times and boiled what was left, then dried it out. On the final boil the water did not taste like salt at all. I ended up with about 1/4 cup of rocks. NO BUENO! I will be shopping elsewhere for my future salt needs. I should mention as a baseline I took some similar looking salt from a big box store, boiled down a few table spoons and it dissolved 100%. I also spread about a cup of the box store salt on a plate and looked closely, the particles that I though looked suspect all dissolved.
