WARNING - Dangerous Chair (Potential Hazard) - seat broke in half after approx. 1 year of purchase! Chair is unsafe and injury may result! I want my money back! I purchased this chair July 4, 2013 for $34.29 (free shipping). The current price at the moment is $50.09. A family member sat on the chair and within several minutes the seat snapped and broke off. As I looked in horror she fell to the hard floor. It happened so fast I couldn't do anything to even help her. She could have broke her hip or cracked her head open. My goodness, what kind of junk is this already? Nowhere in the advertisement does it say you have to weigh a specified amount or the chair's seat will break and you could fall and injure yourself. She sat in the chair before and it didn't break. Then all of a sudden - one day she sits in the chair and it breaks! She's not skinny by any means but she's not morbidly obese either. She's about 225 lbs. Yea, I know she's not pencil thin or slim but it's not funny. THIS CHAIR SEAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BROKE AND SHE COULD HAVE GOTTEN SERIOUSLY HURT! This chair is sat on I would say infrequently, maybe 2 hours every 2 or 3 days. I've sat on office chairs (8 hrs. a day/40-60 hrs. a week) for 15 years and have never had, seen or heard of such a thing happening. Also, please note - even if weight is not the issue, you can easily slip off the seat and hurt yourself. To me this chair looks and sounds like a pretty sturdy chair advertised. This chair is maybe for someone 100 pounds or so, but there are serious safety issues with this chair for adults who's weight might exceed 160, 180 or 200 pounds or more. POST THE DARN LOAD LIMIT AND STOP MAKING THE ADVERTISEMENT LOOK AS IF IT IS A STRONG CHAIR – THAT'S MISLEADING! I'm posting pictures of the now broken chair, will contact Amazon and try to get my money back, and will report this dangerous product to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Maybe if there are enough complaints it will be recalled and they will stop making and selling unsafe chairs like this to customers and the customers won't have to be put at a high risk for serious injury. They need to stop being so darn greedy and stop engineering such product junk! Sincerely, A Very Angry Customer
