Update: We have now had this bed for 19 days, we have had to unfortunately contact customer service concerning the mildew smell because it has gotten worse, we cannot keep our bedroom door closed because it fills the whole room, my husband who we bought this bed for because of a back injury has had multiple asthma attacks from the smell and now is back on the couch until we can find another mattress, I have no choice but to sleep on it and am rewarded with a wonderful heachache every morning. Customer service is a nightmare, we keep getting the automated response from our email with the directions for opening it and allowing it time to vent which we obviously did and that same automation comes back every time we respond. We should have known it was all wrong when the scheduled delivery that I took work off for was a whole day late to begin with. Today I'm taking more time off to call off and attempt to find some sort of resolution but I'm not hopeful, how in the world do you return a bed that came factory rolled under pressure? First review- Product is very soft and comfortable compared to what we had but it's been 7 days out of packaging and it smells sorta like mildew after a week of being package free..and we are from Washington state which means our state flower is mildew so it's a familiar smell..makes me nervous that it's never gonna go away. Second review After 28 days of automated email responses, a phone number that kept cycling back to the prompt when you pressed any number, and a husband sick of sleeping on the couch because the smell was triggering his asthma (smell did not fade at all, and can be smelled through our entire upstairs now), we contacted Amazon large item dept and on the line with them attempted another call to Zinus customer service and with met with the same cycling phone message. End result, Amazon took care of our issue and we donated the mattress.
