From a lover of music and a maker of phone calls, always on the move: Sound: 5 stars ANC: 5 stars Comfort: 5 stars Look: 3 stars (absurdly large) Charging case: 2 stars Mic for phone calls: ZERO stars These last two points make the product unusable to me, in real world use. Great sound. Great ANC. It's Bose. It's amazing. I own Bose QC 20, QC 30, SoundSport, QC 35-II, and now the QC Earbuds. I pre-ordered the QC Earbuds the first day it became available. Oh how I waited for them. A $280 luxury. At this price class, your expectations are justifiably very high. Oh how disappointing it is, almost heart breaking, to discover that when on a call, the mic sounds worse than a $12 drug-store headphones. Terrible. It picks up every little sound around you and drowns your voice in noise. So annoying. Unacceptable. Was it so hard for Bose to match the AirPods Pro here, or even the Samsung Buds Plus? Oh, and then to realize that in real world mobility the charging case is almost useless? It's way, way too big to have in your pocket. Even for your jacket - way too chunky. You actually need to carry the case in a bag or a fanny pack. Ridiculous. Thinking about leaving your case behind? What are you going to do with the buds if you want to remove them? Sorry. I love you guys. I spent a ridiculous amount of cash on Bose products, so I kinda take it personally. This product was designed by engineers. Not by product experts. Not by actual product users. The entire focus for Bose was to prove that they can defend the title of best ANC. They did that, but missed on the most important things that make the product useful: it sounds awesome, but it falls short of my QC35-II in sound quality AND in call quality, inferior to the QC-20 and SoundSports in portability, and inferior to the QC-30 in battery life. Honestly, it's easier to walk around with the QC35-II around my neck than to carry the extra bag for the earbuds case... Anyway, rant over. This is heartbreaking that I need to send it back after waiting for them for so long. If I can't use them on calls (a huge deal for earbuds, especially these days) and I can't carry them around without a fanny pack, then what's the point?!
