UPDATED: Review from a mechanical/design engineer
Initial review based on assembly and general product design:
Overall the product appears to be made of good quality components. There are a few design elements and shortcuts taken that are head scratchers.
First, the instructions are vague. For example, it says you need a "small wrench" rather than a 9/16" (better fit oddly) or 14mm wrench or socket. The black plastic spacers have two holes and are shown incorrectly, though there is only one way they fit. It tells you to tighten down everything after you have installed the last tube portion of the frame, but didn't tell you earlier to only hand-tighten, which may make it difficult for a novice. It also does not explain how to properly install the cotter pins.
The axle design is poor. There is significant radial play between the frame tube and the axle. I recommended picking up a pair of bronze flanged bushings 19mm OD x15mm ID or 3/4" x 5/8" to fill the gaps, though the weld misalignment may make it difficult to install the axle. There is also 3/8" of axial play on my unit. This will likely vary with welding, so i recommend buying some 5/8" ID spacers, wave spring washers, or a short compression spring if the gap is larger. The weld misalignment and obvious pack of proper welding jig used in manufacturing is the reason for both of these.
Last, the arrangement of tube-flat washer-lock washer-nut does little to prevent loosening due to vibration as there is still a slip surface between the tube and washer. The stickiness of the powder coat will likely suffice, but it wouldn't hurt to replace the lock washer and nut with a nylon insert lock nut. The thread appears to be M8. You could also replace the bolts with M8 or 5/16" hex bolts or socket head bolts if you want to improve the assembly process, since the slotted drive head is the worst invention in history.
This is probably less than $1 worth of hardware and tooling per unit to the manufacturer, so it makes no sense why they cut these corners--probably just bargain engineering.
UPDATE (3.5 months in):
Original review was 3 stars. I've lowered it to two due to the inferior quality of the rubber in the tires and inner tubes. I've used this wheelbarrow sparingly and with light loads on concrete and gravel surfaces. After sitting in storage for a month or so, I got it out to use it to move some gravel. I rolled it into position just fine, but once I loaded it up, the tire went completely flat. I tried to re-inflate, hoping it was just a leaky valve or other slow leak. Nope, gaping leak to the point the tire is flat before you can remove the pump from the valve. Upon inspecting the tire, it had significant cracking and a strip of rubber on the surface of the sidewall flaked off just from touching it.
I reached out for support, but the company informed me that this 3.5 month old wheelbarrow is supposedly out of warranty and that they would do a full product exchange this one time, but that I would have to send it back (probably so they can refurbish and sell as new). All I want is a tire and inner tube, but they suggest that they do not have these components in stock. I need it this weekend, so it looks like I'm stuck getting an inner tube myself and hoping the tire holds up a while since I can't find the same size.
