This product will likely kill the equipment it's connected to. My USB stopped working correctly on one computer after I plugged this in. I powered off the compute to investigate. And in doing so I noticed the lights on the motherboard were still on. So I hard-cut power of the computer by flipping the PSU switch. Lights were still on. So I completely unplugged it from the wall, let it sit for a minute. Lights were still on. They I realized this thing was probably back-feeding USB power. So I unplugged it and the lights went off immediately. I'm shocked that my computer is still running OK, as it's not designed to have power fed in over USB when the thing is off. This will put a lot of the body-diodes internal to chips on the motherboard into active state, which over time will fry them. And this explains why this thing has a reputation of frying motherboards.
