Our water is sourced from a natural spring. I bought this in order to monitor the water from the tap periodically to insure it was safe to drink. I read through the scant instruction sheet before attempting to use it for my first test. It would have been helpful if there was an online video showing this in use. Once I got a reading in ppm I pressed the button to switch modes but it wouldn't switch. It would simply reset and do the ppm reading over. After a few attempts I tried to turn it off according to the instructions but it would not turn off. Even if I kept it the non replaceable battery would have drained and it would have been worthless. I came back to it after giving it 3-4 hours to sort itself out and tested it with Poland Springs water. No readings at all. It was done. I'm very disappointed as this would have filled an important need had it worked. You should decide for yourself but I don't recommend this in any way. Hope you have better luck than I did.
