I wanted a water table for my 2 year old son and saw this and thought I'd get the best of both worlds: sand and water. Well, do yourself a favor and get your kid a sandbox and a separate water table because the temptation to mix the two is way too great for a toddler and what you end up with is two separate compartments of muddy sandy water. Not only that, but by having sand in an elevated table (as opposed to in a sandbox on the ground), the kid will also dump the sand out of the box, everywhere. There's only a drain on the one side (which in a perfect world would be the water side, but will never actually be the water only side, because your kid will dump heaps of sand in there). Then, in the sand side, there is no drain, which you will need, because your kid will scoop all the water into this side. The whole water tower is great in concept, but the construction is so poor that the different "levels" don't click into place really and they keep coming apart. Like I said, just get a regular water table and leave the sand to the sandboxes.
