I recently bought two of these batteries and was a bit skeptical of the capacity based on the price. I decided to test them both to see how much energy I could actually draw from them. I applied a 100w load to the pack and used a coulomb counter to measure how much energy was discharged, which ended up being almost exactly 4 amp hours from both of my "new" batteries. This got me curious so I opened up one of the batteries to inspect the cells. The pack uses 20 LGABHE41865 cells in a 10s2p configuration. The capacity of these cells is only 2.5 amp hours, meaning (due to there being two of them in parallel) the total capacity of this battery is only 5 amp hours. For reference, the official Ryobi 5 amp hour pack uses 20 LGABHE21865 cells in a 10s2p configuration. These are also 2.5 amp hour cells, but Ryboi correctly labels them as 5 amp hour packs. These might be cheap, but in a best case scenario you will be receiving a 5 amp hour battery, and in my case, the cells have already degraded well below that. It's still cheaper than a genuine Ryobi battery, but you should know what you are paying for.
