I bought two of these recently for emergency water storage. I pulled the first one out I was greeted by a CA Prop 65 warning for known carcinogens. I had purchased a couple of these previously so didn't read down the description this time figuring there was nothing additional I needed to know, but I do see now that it is marked with a tiny banner above the product description. Wish I had seen that and wish I had some sort of explanation. The plastic is supposed to be HDPE and pretty decent for food and water, but where is the warning coming from? Something in the handle that won't contact the water? Something in the lid that will contact the water????? Now I have to try and figure out the reason for this warning before I can decide if I want to return them or not.
