I WANT to love it....(with update)
I've had the Fitbit One for over a year and I've periodically tested it and tried to fool it to see if it continues to remain accurate, and that thing is and continues to be spot on! My only issue with the One is that I often forget to put it back on after I change clothes, or I forget to take it off of my clothes entirely and almost run it through the washer, so I purchased the Charge in hopes that it would be more convenient.
To test it out, I've been wearing my One and the Charge simultaneously to compare results......Unfortunately, the Charge doesn't seem to count steps approximately 20% of the time. On multiple occasions I counted 100-500 steps in my head and checked both devices. The One MIGHT miss 1 step out of 500, whereas the Charge missed more like 100 out of the 500. I tried this with both my wrist swinging and stationary and same result. I've tried resetting the device per the instructions and I've switched back and forth between the "Dominant" and "Non-Dominant" hand settings and didn't see any improvement. Additionally, for some reason the online Dashboard shows a different "Active Minute" calculation than what the Android app says (all other stats match up, and my One is registered to a different account) - kind of annoying. I am going to continue to tinker with it over the next few days but a 20% swing is too significant in my opinion so it will likely be going back....
Which is a shame because there are many things I LOVE about the Charge:
While the Charge does feel a little clunky at first the material is surprisingly comfortable, and I don't have any issues sleeping with it. The auto sleep detention is pretty spot on (once again, compared to the One which I have to set manually). I love the OLED screen (you can't read the One's screen at all in bright daylight), and the tap to show time (or whatever you want) is pretty cool. Yes, the call notification is extremely sluggish and you'll likely miss the call completely before you have time to react, but at least you'll KNOW you missed a call. I often forget to turn the sound back on on my phone when I leave work, and when I'm wearing lose clothing I often don't feel it vibrate either, so it can be hours before I notice a missed call at all.

UPDATE 11/27/2014: I wanted this thing to work so much I returned it, and ordered 2 more. One of the two new ones was defective (stopped syncing regularly and the only way to fix was to plug it in and reset - it also rattled loudly when the vibrating alarm went off). I wore both of the new devices on the same wrist for several days EXPECTING them to have near identical stats.... but they were both WAY off from each other, and still WAY off from my FitBit One's stats. I give up, this is a terrible product :(
