I purchased the AmazonBasics Mini Ultra Portable Bluetooth Speaker to use primarily as a speakerphone. I travel a lot for business, and I was intrigued in having a small speaker that would work both for entertainment (listening to music/watching movies) as well as being able to attend conference calls via speaker. I sometimes have to spend considerable time participating in conference calls on the road, so the ability to have a speaker would be very welcome and helpful. This product was advertised as having speakerphone ability. HOWEVER, I found this feature entirely unusable. I could hear the call somewhat clearly, but other participants were unable to hear me clearly even when I put the microphone up to my mouth. Very, very poor performance. The sound for music and movies was fine. If you intend to use this solely for those features, I would recommend it. It's a nice product for those purposes (and synced well with iPhone and iPad). But the speakerphone simply does not work. So it's back to a quality bluetooth headset for me!
