Not EPS, but a cheap knockoff--Gray band on top of duplex page; How to reset the toner sensor & turn off "toner low" messages
I installed it on my Brother HL-2270DW printer. Prints single pages ok, but for duplex printing, the back page prints with a gray band about 1/2" wide across the top of the page; the front page still prints normally. I see at least one other user has the same problem.
On looking closer, I also see that this is NOT an EPS package as promised in the Amazon listing, but a cheap knock-off with a box that looks similar to the EPS. A piece of junk.
Unfortunately, because I was too busy to address the problem quickly and then had to wait for a real Brother toner cartridge to arrive before returning this piece of garbage, my returns window closed.
Shame on you Amazon. All I want to do is to return a defective item that is NOT what was advertised!

How to reset the toner sensor and turn off those "toner low" messages:
Online (thanks to someone named Dan Reetz) and on this printer box you can find the following instructions to reset the toner sensor on the 2270DW and stop those intrusive and premature "toner low" messages from Brother:
Please do the following steps to reset the toner sensor:
- Open the front cover and leave open while completing the following steps.
- Turn the printer off.
- Hold the `go' button while turning the printer on. All lights should be on.
- Release the `go' button (or "start' button).
- Press the `go' button (or "start' button) 2 times.
- Pause. All panel lights should be on. (You can wait, say, 10 seconds here.)
- Press the `go' button (or "start' button) 5 times.
The toner light should be off. (error may be flashing)
The paper light should be on or flashing.
- Close cover. The ready light should be the only light on.
Follow the above procedure BEFORE you install the a new toner cartridge, to extend the life of the old cartridge until the toner is really physically low, and to stop those intrusive "toner low" messages from Brother.
Follow the above procedure AFTER you install this new toner cartridge, to reset the toner cartridge and maximize the time before Brother starts sending you more intrusive "toner low" messages for the new cartridge.
