I bought this dash camera over two others with bigger screens and more functionality because of good reviews I've heard about YI products, however this seems to have been a mistake. While the materials and build quality are quite nice, the video it produces is overexposed, grainy, and blurry. The mirror component shakes at high speeds and the glare on the screen makes daytime use challenging. Use at night is also not ideal as the video is dark overall with highlights being overexposed. The output file may be 1080p sized however the footage does not appear HD; it looks worse than a smartphone from a few years ago. The field of view for the back up camera is also too wide in my opinion, it distorts the proximity of objects and makes me feel like I cannot rely on it solely. I found myself using it sporadically and often opted to just turn my body and back up the old fashioned way. I would consider keeping it if I felt it could be useful in an accident, however the video quality is so poor I cannot make out details of other vehicles' plates, makes, models, etc. without them being extremely close. Overall, this product was a disappointment and I felt the need to return it as it did not live up to its promises and lacked a sense of security I had hoped to gain from it.
