Pathetic excuse for a mother and a disgusting book
I had a real internal struggle purchasing this book today knowing this mother wrote it to justify her son's role in the murder of an innocent young lady. I found the link to the book on Google after seeing advertisements of a documentary on Cassie's death. I'm 8% into the book and wish I could take out my brain and scrub it clean from this fantasy Torey's mother is trying to spin. When she basically states losing her son to life in prison "for a crime he didn't commit" to Cassie's parents losing her I almost lost my lunch. I really hope this pathetic excuse for a human reads her reviews because she needs a strong dose of reality. I plan to finish the book because I do want to see how she will continue to cry innocent for the murderer she raised. I began to highlight the eBook in places she is already placing suspicion and judgement on everyone involved in this case except her son. I'm going to stop because at just 8% most of the book is highlighted pink. She paints Cassie's parents, Matt, Brian, the aunt and uncle all in a suspicious, negative light all the while saying how perfect and charming and religious and good her family seems. After reading the book I may update my review but I would bet a year's salary I won't be adding any stars. I would give it negative stars if allowed. I also plan to research if Torey has ever taken any responsibility for his very real and guilty role in this murder as of January 2016.
