I spent over 400 dollars on this chair, and sincerely regret it. I am finishing my PhD degree in two months. The money I earned are through hard working for 60-hour weeks. But, I honestly do not care about the 400 dollars I spent. What I cannot endure is the thought that other people would fall to the same scam like me. What if a veteran spent his/her pension on this piece of junk? What if a volunteer worker spent days in filing return? What if it is a son/daughter like me, expect to get the present for his/her parents? And what if it is a student like me, hope to find the present for his long time advisor? So, please do not buy it, and if you still intend to buy, please read the following fact about this chair before you do. 1. This chair is not made of leather, it is made of bonded leather instead. Bonded leather is reconstructed from shredded leather with a polymer coating which is stamped into a leather-like texture. 2. This is not made or assembled by Lazboy. It is licensed to True Innovations. Amazon does not allow me to post their website. But, definitely check out their website yourself. 3. This is not made in USA, but in China. These 3 pieces of information are not available online. They were hidden to the consumers to bait their purchases. The pictures and videos show amazing product that make the chair looks like a steal. I do not approve these practices. In what follows, let me tell you the problems with my product. 1. In general, the craftsmanship is worse than my 30 dollar 5 year old chair from IKEA. 2. The sewing of the headpiece is severely uneven. I could do a better job than this. It made the chair looks extremely ugly. 3. The threads that secure the leather are falling off straight out of the box. What do you expect the consumer to do? Sewing the thread back themselves? They dun have proper tools. 4. The paint job is worse than a 10 dollar wooden chair. There are bald spots in the paint. The paint is very unevenly distributed. 5. There is a ugly scratch in the fabric. 6. To conclude, they want to make you believe that you are paying premium price for a premium product. But, the reality is the product is of the worst quality I have ever seen. I will supply pictures at my earliest convenience. I would easily pay twice as much if the product is of build and quality, and buy multiple units for my academic advisor and my parents. But, it was not meant to be. Edit: The return process is as smooth as possible. They responded polite and fast. They provided free return label and a full refund. I am adding a star for the return experience. Knowing what I will get, this return experience just might make me visit their store again in the future.
