Updating my original review below as now we have the lock not working issue others have reported. The materials are solid but the design is poor. A mail box should store mail, keep it dry and keep it secure. Mail gets wet in a heavy rain, mail gets jammed and mangled, and the locking mechanism does not work. The mailbox is very solid and I want to like it but as I have seen in other reviews there are two critical design flaws: 1) in heavy rain water drips into the mailbox leaving mail with water damage 2) more importantly the mail drop area is not large enough. Our mail is jammed in, torn and bent regularly. This is especially problematic with magazines and junk mail that is slightly oversized. I would say this is a postal worker issue if it were not that I have seen a number of posts with this issue,
