I bought it based on the Cuisinart name. Mistake. The first can I tried to open just sat there and ground the label off. I had to force the can to turn, and was left with metal shavings on the bottom of the opener. Second can, same failure, metal shavings. Third can worked fine. What's going on? I think I'm returning it. It's not rocket science, There's only one way to put the can on, and the gear turns, but it doesn't grip the can. Maybe they got a bad bunch of gears, I got the lemon. My last electric can opener lasted 20 years, this one one isn't going to last a month.
