They're supposed to be giving 5% back, but they don't really do it. I'd be better off using a regular bank card that pays only 1%, because at least they really do cough it up. They'll even let you download your cashback to your bank account, rather than applying it to your bill. This card doesn't have that option, which keeps you chasing your money forever, like a carrot on a stick. I wouldn't mind so much if it looked like those delayed payments added up to the promised 5%, but they don't.. The bitter end for me, what caused me to delete the card from my payment options, was when they did not send me my statement. I signed up for paperless statements to save a tree, and one month they simply did not send it. Intentionally. Because if they don't send it, and you miss a payment because of this negligence on their part, they can then charge you interest and a late fee. It's theft. Actual theft. Worse than that, they probably put a dent in my next to perfect credit rating with their dishonest, deceitful practices.. It's unbelievable what Amazon does and gets away with. I don't know why I expected any better from a company that pays employees at its fulfillment centers less than the minimum wage and doesn't allow them any bathroom breaks. I have got to break the habit of buying here. Yes, it's convenient, but the hidden costs are killers.
