The manufacturer sent an abusive email to a buyer who left a negative review. In the email he tells the buyer that he is blocking access to their servers for this buyer so he has no choice but to return the product. Leaving aside the issues about buying from a manufacturer that behaves in such an unprofessional manner, do you really want to commit to a product that requires a 3rd-party server to operate? what happens if this company goes out of business and those servers shut down? You are then left with an expensive paperweight. I would instead recommend looking into a more traditional home automation hub and a z-wave or zigbee remote garage door controller. There are several of these out there, but I have been using the "GoControl/Linear GD00Z-4 Z-Wave Garage Door Opener Remote Controller" for over 2 years now, and it works great.
