I loved this product until it broke. Sometimes it would clamp down great and other times the foot pedal would just slip and I'd bang my knee. Couldn't figure out what was wrong with it while on the phone with Rockwell support. I returned it for a replacement which had the exact same problem. This time I slid back the clamping jaw and took a look at the little tooth mechanism to see if I could fix the problem. There is a small pin running through the mechanism that controls the height of the teeth. In lock position I could see the teeth wiggle up and down and back and forth in a way that didn't look right. I used a hammer to pound the pin about .5 cm to the left and it worked like it should have out of the box. Disappointed with Rockwell for not being able to help the first time around and for shipping another product with the exact same defect. Inexcusable, there is obviously an issue in their production line that they have yet to address. Anyway I hope this helps others avoid the annoying return.
