UPDATE:: 11/28/15 I purchased a second double stack seat on Oct. 7, installed Oct. 9 - by Nov. 8 the nylon straps holding the first tier to the second tier failed (ripped completely in half at the seam.) Contacted K&H for warranty and was advised I would need to pay shipping both ways if I wanted it replaced. Sorta ticked, I just figured we'd use it as a single tier since the top half was still just fine. Today, 11/28, both suction cups holding the top straps to the window have completely failed. Not like they won't stick anymore... no. They ripped in half. The suction cup is still stuck to the window, but the strap and twist mechanism has ripped straight off. I checked our original and the nylon is beginning to rip, suction cups are fine so far. Our cats are 4lbs, 5lbs, and 7lbs. This is inexcusable. After less than 2 months one has completely failed, the second is beginning to fail. I hate that our cats love these things so damn much - they will probably murder us in our sleep if we don't get replacements, like, today. Original review::: Our house is over 100 years old with thin window sills - no room for the velcro type window perches and no way were we drilling into the wood! Our cats have been fighting over the sills of a certain set of windows for months so we ordered this window perch and they LOVE it! The suction cups are incredibly strong, the frame is sturdy, and the straps are thick and high quality. All three of our cats get on it together and the thing doesn't budge. Will be ordering a second!
