the assembly could be a bit simpler and some done for you (like the brackets). However it was not that bad and the metal is thick the tray itself is solid wood. My issue with it is that the tray just closes on its own. It will not stay open. Hard to type on a keyboard that keeps shooting back under the desk. There should be some kind of a lock mechanism. Something I spent this much money on i shouldn't have to rig by shoving a wire-tie in the track to wedge it as open shown in picture. Even with that you have to be careful not to push down to hard as it still moves if you get to into your typing. Solid tray, but useless if it doesn't stay open.
