I walked into my bathroom the other day to discover that this nail brush was in pieces on the side of my sink. What? I figured I must have dropped it and forgotten that I dropped it, but it felt like it somehow broke itself. I live alone, so I was the only person who could have possibly been responsible for it. But I couldn’t shake the feeling that it wasn’t something I did, so I logged back into this page only to find that others found theirs exploded too! As you can see in the photos (pardon the messy sink, didn’t know I was going to be doing a photo shoot) the metal clips that hold the bristles in were rusting and I’m guessing they just expanded to the point that they exploded the plastic? Or maybe water got into it and that made it explode? In any case, I didn’t even own this brush for 3 months before it exploded, and though I used it in water to scrub my nails, I didn’t keep it in the shower or another wet place; and I always put on the side of the sink to dry out after use. Before it exploded it was great. I really loved the shape of the brush and the texture of the bristles. The top part was perfect for really getting under nails. I’m bummed that it didn’t last. I suppose if you need a dry nail brush it would be awesome, but I don’t think it’s built to survive wet use.
