I've been putting a big spoon of Anthonys Tumeric powder in my protein shake every morning for the anti-inflammatory properties for a while now. On one occasion a while ago, I found what appeared to be a small piece of plastic in the powder. It looked like a corner of something and was big enough for me to notice when I dumped the contents of the bag into a clear mason type jar for storage. I picked out the plastic and sifted through the rest of the turmeric. I did not see anything else and continued to consume the product. However, I just recently received another bag of Anthonys Tumeric and while scooping out some from my jar I saw another piece of plastic. Unfortunately it was almost identical in size and appearance to the previous one I had found in the powder a while back. This time I dumped all the turmeric out on my counter and literally chopped through it very meticulously with a flash light and knife, this time I found more little pieces of plastic. Some very small, almost micro plastic. But all resembling a little slice or corner of some larger plastic, and it did not appear to be of the same material as the inside or outside of the actual package the turmeric is shipped in, although maybe it was. Unfortunately plastic is everywhere in our modern day society. Unless you only drink raw milk straight from a cows udder, you risk being exposed to toxins in anything you buy that's commercially processed. Organic or not. I think that Anthonys is probably a consciences company trying to conduct a successful business by providing what they believe is a good and safe product, and they probably try to minimize the occurrence of things like this happening. But for me something is to wrong. The plastic pieces I found all look the same and was spread out over some time from different bags of Tumeric. That's a trend, and a definite red flag that's something is being overlooked or mismanaged along the way. Is it Anthonys packaging process that is malfunctioning, or is it India malfunctioning. The World may never know. At any rate it is time for me to be moving on. Perhaps whole organic turmeric roots. Jesus is King.
