Jeremy Rifkin needs to be made aware of reality.
.only 2 percent of world energy is from wind+solar
.electricity is 40% of total energy in the U.S. yet renewable proponents claim a high percentage of electricity is from renewables. 80% of U.S. energy is from fossil fuels.
. people who profit from renewable energy tell half truths. The actual output from a wind or solar farm is approximately 30% of nameplate capacity. It's never mentioned. A solar farm 5 square miles in size is needed to replace a 1gw power plant.
Thinking technology+government to fix the climate crisis is stupid. The only way to gain ground is to shrink the economy.
Lastly, the US has a shrinking share of world energy production/consumption so making drastic changes in a short time frame will do little but make energy costs skyrocket.
