★★☆☆☆
Not a bad shed. But get help putting the roof on.
Shed was delivered by a contracted freight driver. They did their best to get it off the truck in one piece. But the box came apart. Only a smal section was damaged but was hidden during the assembly. The hardest part of building this shed was the roof. It has to slide in a groove which was very difficult to do with a shorter person helping. Lining panels up was a bit of a pain. Some pieces just didn’t go together flush or straight.
Also, the floor in this is plastic with a honey comb sort of substrate. It kept buckling underweight of me walking on it. The inside of the walls are also easily susceptible to damage seeing how the are plastic. My kids will be in and out of the shed with their bikes so I wanted to reinforce the walls to protect them from damage. I did the same for the floor as well. I used 1/4” OSB plywood and strapping. The side walls have steel inserts in between panels. I drilled some self taping screws through this being careful not to poke through the outside. I then attached the plywood to the strapping. The back wall has a steel insert in it as well for rigidity. I used strapping the same way and attached the plywood to it. I put plywood down on the floor too to prevent the buckling and to protect from punctures from items falling off shelves.
All in all it’s a good shed. It will serve its purpose for sure and is very sturdy with the mods I made. Just be sure to have a cordless drill/driver handy and about a day and a half to build it all.
I gave it three stars because of the difficulty lining panels up as well as the issues with the roof and floor.
Update 3/29/18
After a storm the shed blew apart at every seem. This was even after I made efforts to reinforce it. The base/floor wasn’t displaced however the roof blew off completely from one side. Then the domino effect. All the work to put this thing together only to find out it can’t handle any sort of wind above 30kts. The doors never would stay closed properly. One door on the right is held close by cheap plastic locks that give way very easy. It’s just a cheaply made shed. We bought it because it matches our house color almost perfectly. The irony of it is the fact that our neighbors old school tin style shed made through 20 plus years of storms and this one lasted 3 mths. I’m willing to give this shed another chance if customer service works with us. If not I will post and update this review.
