Purchased BECAUSE it said it covered accident damage from handling. 4 Year Asurion Office Products Protection Plan ($400-449.99). If you scroll through the page the first two sections past the description state "Don't Let Mishaps Interrupt Your Life", further down it states under "Product Coverage You Can Count On" "Accidental Damage from Handling includes drops, spills and cracked screens (portable electronics only)". I purchased this to go with my $415 scanner SPECIFICALLY because it showed accidental damage coverage. The scanner was knocked off my desk - my fear as it's just small and light enough to easily be knocked off and it broke the scanner. Called Asurion and they refused to cover the damage stating that the part of the ad I relied upon was just "generic" and that they "NEVER cover accidental damage for office products". You tell me after you look at the link whether that looks generic..... nothing in their ad even mentions that the product protection may be different, in fact it's pretty large on their product page. Even via a call from Amazon (who agreed with me) they refused to cover my product. Thank goodness for Amazon, they are replacing my scanner and I'm getting a refund from Asurion. False advertising and they don't stand behind their mistakes. FIX YOUR AD!
