The Soda Stream does not seem to work very well, or at least consistently. After several attempts with making drinks, I could only really get one to be carbonated as it should, and that was the one I did first! The carbonation is somewhat difficult to do, and even when done, it tastes more like seltzer water than soda. As seltzer is not really mentioned in any of the advertising, or the name, this was somewhat of a surprise. The extra bottles I bought to use with it, also Soda Stream brand, can’t be used with the machine, as they are too tall. So you must use the bottle that came with it, then transfer the seltz...err, soda, to the other bottle(s). When I went to go attempt to return the Soda Stream, it gave a notification that the item can’t be returned. This is somewhat surprise. When I made the purchase, there didn’t seem to be any clear and concise warning that it could not be returned. Thinking I missed this, I went back to look, and again noticed nothing. If this is the case, a warning should be completely clear and concise, and maybe even have automatic prompts as you go through the several pages to create the order. Due to this, the item is unfortunately not what I thought it’d be, and does not taste very good. I usually like the taste of seltzer water, but what this creates, isn’t very good seltzer water, and definitely isn’t soda.
