I opened the foil and plastic package and was assaulted by a horrible chemical smell. I pulled out a bar and smelled it again, still chemical. It is a bit pale, though I ordered the yellow wax, it is not the deep color I am used to. It FEELS like a regular beeswax block, but the smell is NOTHING like beeswax or wax of any kind that I've ever smelled. What is that chemical smell from??!!Is it the packaging? Is it the processing equipment they use? Are the hives treated with chemicals? This is truly awful.
