Example of one faulty piece ruining an entire machine
When I first got this blender, I thought it was amazing. It's capacity is huge. I could blend a full pitcher and I would have enough smoothie to get me through the day. It is enormously powerful. I'm convinced I could probably blend a sinder block into baby powder if I wanted.
HOWEVER, the bearings at the bottom of the blender are completely inadequate. It never got wet from below. I was always careful about that. It still didn't take long for the bearings to become shot. Liquid started to leak through and it rusted out. Now the whole thing is entirely useless. It lasted all of about 2 months for a total of probably 40 uses. That is totally unacceptable. The bearings just can't keep up with the 150 HP electric engine.
If I could buy the pitcher alone, it might just be worth it to buy a new pitcher every few months. That's not an option though. Stay away from this machine until they address the problem with the bearing. Search the internet. You'll find this is a very common problem with it.
Now after having the taste of the good life, I'll never be able to go back to a run-of-the-muck standard blender. It looks like I'll have to break the bank and grab a VitaMix or something similar. I can't help but think that this junk product has probably helped to improve the sales of high end blenders.
