I am very disappointed in this product. I’ve wanted one of these Chef’sChoice knife sharpener‘s for many years but could never justify spending the money since I have a perfectly good whetstone. Then like a sign from above, Amazon’s deal of the day was not only a Chef’sChoice but the exact Chef’sChoice I’ve been wanting. I used this deal as a way to justify the purchase and believe it might’ve been one of the worst decisions ever had. There is no nice way to review this thing, it scratches and gouges knifes that cost much more than this pile costs. Sure it sharpens like nothing else but I can’t used it because it damages th blades so. Also, upon first turn on this thing makes a weird sound around the buffer wheel, like it’s hitting on the inside. I should have returned it. This product can’t be used and the damage it causes is unacceptable.
