I kept my expectations low, but man these first few episodes left me flabbergasted at the changes and as such this series seems to be going the way of Eragon, Artermis Fowl, Percy Jackson and Cirque du Freak in its attempts to "appeal" to a greater audience by way of insane character changes to their personalities and backstory. I am incredibly upset at what they did to the motivations and back stories of Rand, Perrin, Matt and Nyneve all of which had established and well thought out backstories and motivations in the books that were relatively easy to adapt. I am confused as to why they allowed a no name like Rafe a story like this from which he obviously dosent know or respect. I hope things get better but with all the changes I will probably stop watching when I see how they decide to "improve" Shadar logoth".
