I am in a wheelchair that is pretty low to the ground. I was looking for a way to sit a little higher in my chair to avoid over use of my upper body muscles when attempting to get out of the chair. When I saw this item and read the review it appeared that I had found the perfect solution. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the product's performance. I placed the cushion in my wheelchair and assumed that it would maintain its firmness and the 5" height rise claimed by the product however when I sat down I was completely surprised the memory foam core base collapsed sinking me to barely above the level I was sitting in without the cushion losing the 5" height rise making sitting in my chair more uncomfortable.. As a result, I did not have the support claimed by the product and experienced increased pain levels in my upper body muscles and lower back when exiting my chair . This is a real shame because it appeared to have great promise but proved to be a big disappointment. I hope the manufactures of this product rethink the materials used in the creation of this product and the claims alleged. I know that each person is different and this is for some a very successful product. Regrettably, this was not a successful outcome or product purchase for me.
