Not sure this is Rose Hip oil
I recently discovered the benefits of rosehip seed oil for stretch marks and thought I would give this brand a try since this was the cheapest price on amazon, and I had used the NOW brand shea butter in the past. However, once I used this oil I immediately noticed a fishy smell (identical to that of cod liver oil like a prior reviewer stated), and the oil is thin and CLEAR. From what I had researched, rosehip seed oil definitely has a faint smell, but should not be fishy and the oil should be thick and a reddish-amber color. I decided to buy another brand immediately to compare the two products. I ended up buying the NZ Fusions brand (which is certified USDA ORGANIC and says so on the label). Hugeeee difference. The NZ Fusions brand does not smell fishy and is thick and amber colored. Go figure. Needless to say I havent used the remainder of the Now brand, nor do I plan to in the future. Straight in the trash. Just be aware, that sometimes you get what you pay for. FYI: rosehip seed oil has a short life (about 6 months). However, you can prolong the life of the oil by keeping it in the refrigerator. So perhaps the Now brand is not to blame, but the seller may have had it too long. Either way, the Now brand does not state how this oil is havested (expeller pressed, refined, unrefined, cold pressed etc.) and that is a major drawback in the "natural" oil market.
