I have been needing a food processor since my ninja has cracks in the plastic on the bottom(it leaks and ninja won't help me with a 2nd replacement. yes, two have cracked). I wanted something on the smaller cup size because I like to make marinades and sauces. I also do a lot of veggie things. I picked this based on the size, price and brand. I usually figure that KitchenAid is a tried and true brand that makes good products. I was almost immediately disappointed when I tried to get the processor together. None of the parts fit smoothly, I had to pretty much fight with it to get it to finally work. It did a bad job with a peanut sauce. Then I tried making a cauliflower mash with steamed cauliflower and it was lumpy and didn't even get all the pieces. I found huge stalks of cauliflower in it. The motor sounded really weak and it just overall did a horrible job. I'm not going to keep something that doesn't even process, not to mention that it's impossible to line it up properly to get it to work. I literally HATED this. I returned it.
