I've had this unit for several months now. I have good quality batteries installed. normal water pressure. It does not shut off sometimes. I use if for manual operation only... in order to use the manual feature you must have the dial turned to automatic.... this is not a problem because we can program the meter to run every 14 days for one minute. so if it ever comes on for one min every now and then that's fine.... this has happened three times now... ill set it to manual operation for 240 min {max time allowed}, ((you have to leave it on AUTO to do this, take note of how i program it above...)) and when I come back many many hours later it is still running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this caused water damage once as it overflowed my buckets i was using to collect R/O water, during the winter i keep my R/O unit inside to protect from freezing, i would like to use it inside if i had a reliable timer shutoff....... I had to repaint the downstairs ceiling, after all the water came through that had overflowed everywhere, while I was away. Thank goodness it was all R/O water which will not stain....
