The kettle is very stylish and does boil water quite fast. The auto shutoff sometimes fails however as the carafe is transparent it is usually obvious when it is boiling and picking it up shuts it off. The primary problem we had was with the lid. There is a silicone gasket that seals the lid and a push button release that is supposed to pop the lid open. Right from the start this was sticky and reluctant to open and now after less than two months of use the rim where the gasket rests has started rusting and the lid can only be opened by prying it up with the button depressed. We have requested an RMA.
